Urgent Call for G7 Leaders – One in Every 23 People in the World Needs Humanitarian Assistance

Under the unprecedented polycrisis, one in every 23 people in the world are in need of humanitarian assistance. Increased scale and severity of protracted conflicts, as well as increased frequency and intensity of climate-related disasters and hunger crises are hitting the most vulnerable and marginalised groups and communities around the world.
The press briefing will highlight the C7 recommendations for humanitarian assistance, including the need to deliver on the past G7 commitments, meet urgent humanitarian needs, expand humanitarian access for at-risk groups, and invest in local and anticipatory action, as well as to share insights from international NGOs engaging in humanitarian work, and call for robust action of the G7 leaders.
