Dhondup Wangchen.
In 2007, before the Beijing Olympics, he filmed a video asking over 100 Tibetans, “What do you think about the Olympics?”
He was detained in March 2008, sentenced to six years in prison in December 2009, and sent to Laogai, an institution for ideological reform through forced labor. His footage was put together and screened as the film Leaving Fear Behind. The video included voices not only against the Olympics, but also Tibetans calling for forced immigration, exploitation of resources, suppression of education and culture. (Screening time about 30 minutes)
